Dr. Davis received his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, Pre-med at Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at San Jose University. He served his general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Davis brings with him many new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to aid in patient urological care.
His patient care philosophy: As physicians, we achieve our skills from education and a lot of hard work. Education is key to what we do in the deliverance of care; not only my knowledge but the education and knowledge I can provide the patient. This plays an integral part in their healing process. This is why the history we take and how well we listen to our patient matter so much. One of my medical school professors told me once that the patient will tell you what is wrong with them. It takes a good listener that is knowledgeable to put together this information to come up with a diagnosis and a specific individualized care plan specifically for this patient. Even in similar diagnosis any given patient will have different background and culture. These factors must be considered in coming up with the best treatment plan that works for that patient. Our treatment plan may not work, and probably will not for all patients so we much tailor what we do to an individual.
