Plans underway for 16th Annual Popular Jet Boat Cruise and Dinner

Rogue Queen

OVER $3200 RECIEVED FROM THE CRUISE

Cruise chairperson, Amber Hughes, announced recently that tickets are now available for Curry Health Foundation’s popular fund-raiser, the sixteenth annual “Jet Boat Cruise and Dinner”. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 19, 2010.

At a recent meeting the planning committee decided on a different venue for this year’s adventure.  According to Hughes, festivities will be kicked off with a “Bon Voyage” party at Happy Days Malt Shop starting around 12 noon.  Attendees will be treated to champagne and hors d’oeuvres before proceeding to the port for boarding on the “Rogue Queen,” a glass-enclosed craft for a 1 p.m. departure up the Rogue River to Agness.  A deliciousl buffet dinner will be served at Singing Springs Resort including tri-tip and baked chicken.  The cruise will return about 6 p.m.

With generous support from Jerry’s Rogue Jets, Sheriff John’s Classic Cars & Happy Days Malt Shop, Curry Health Foundation has been able to keep the cost at a low $75. The ticket price includes the “Bon Voyage” party, a 64-mile round trip jet boat ride, a buffet dinner, a raffle ticket and a $40 deductible donation.

This popular event has raised thousands of dollars in prior years.  One hundred percent of all donations received remain within our local community to impact our current and future health needs.  Because of the donations received since 1996, the Foundation has been able to award over $461,000 to health-related organizations in Curry County for worthy projects benefitting local residents.

Space is limited. Foundation Coordinator, Roseann Ismert, suggests reserving your seat on the boat as early as possible. To order tickets, please call the Curry Health Foundation office at 541-247-3189 or email foundation@curryhealth.org.
