Tickets now on sale for Sixth Annual High on Health Dinner & Auction

“Polynesian” themed event will fund health-related grants

This year’s CHF and Rotary Club joint Dinner & Auction will be held at the Event Center of the Curry County Fairgrounds. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a Social Hour and Silent Auction.

The Silent Auction is composed of varying-sized gift baskets on prominent display. Next to each basket is a Bid Sheet. Attendees write a bid on the accompanying sheet. If their bid is the highest by the time the Silent Auction closes, that bid wins them the basket.

This year’s festivities follow a Polynesian theme in food, dress and decorations/ Please feel free to come dressed in your favorite or most comfortable Hawaiian or Polynesian attire: Hawaiian shirts for the men, Muumuu, sarong or pareo for the women. Street dress is acceptable if you choose.

Entertainment will feature hula dancers and a live folk singing group followed by dinner and the Live Auction.

Tickets are $35 a piece. Many people from the Curry Health Foundation and the Gold Beach Rotary Club are hosting tables. You may sit at one of their tables or, if you just wish to purchase a ticket or two, there are also non-hosted tables.

Proceeds from the Live Auction and table tickets after expenses are gifted to the 2008 Grant Award Winners by the Curry Health Foundation. All proceeds from the Live Auction are used by the GB Rotary Club to fund health care related projects both locally and internationally.
